More pop with km?

Hi i'm newbie here, I own a 2005 ralliart, When I had buy the car, salesman says that the performance will increase with time, when I hit 5000 and 10 000 km, ths car supposed take more power...
My question: PCM can say to car, at 5000km , have better mix air/fuel, better throttle response?

if someone can help me with my question, i'll appreciate....

I don't belive what these guys say to me... so I want to have other opinions...Thanks a lot....FranK

No, it doesn't instantly get better. But we all know a brand new engine is really tight, really stiff and gets poor MPG. This brand new stiffness wrecks a bit of power too. As things wear a bit, loosen up, you get SLIGHTELY (very slight) better power. Not gunna take a tenth off your 1/4 or anything like that.

Ya, maybe a little more power, but I now have 11,000 km on mine, and I do notice better gas mileage. I seem to be getting about 50 km's more to a tank now with the same driving habits.

I did't find the opening yet

Salut loctfrank for the performance, maybe it's increased but it's too tinny to realise it.
P.S. a other guy from Québec, on commence à être beaucoup.

He He. My salesman "knew" what he was talking about. Maybe it is because all he said was PRINTED on the car window... but that's ok he knew a lot about the engine mods for a used Eclipse we looked at.

I was a bit confused though when HE was confused between an ES and the RA... I swear he mentioned something like "Well that one comes with a spoiler but not that one"

Funny how things work out... We came in there looking for a '98 Eclipse, the dude tried to sell me a Ford Focus they had... And we left with a Ralliart. I just fell in love with it... I was like agh! forget the Eclipse!

My 2004 RA has 26,000 KM on it after a year. I noticed that on the highway at 120km/h when it was new the RPMs were at about 3600-3700. Now they sit just under 3500 at the same speed. I don’t know if the Tach is wrong or if the car is just better broken in.

The rpm should actually be very slightely higher with some wear on the tires.
