Exclamation 111mph @ 6500 in 4th gear...

... all I have to say is WOW. I never topped my gears out, but tonight I had some free time and I was curious (just got done owning a late model prelude) so i went to a closed off road near my old highschool. Topped out 3rd gear @ 81mph. I wanted to see how fast in 4th gear before fuel cut (7k rpms) and got to 117mph, pretty cool for stock RA.

Now that you've brought up the topic, what IS the top speed of the RA? Does it have a speed limiter?

Just curious

@ pgmike, i did top my car before for kicks, and like said before, it was past the 130mph marker and the engine felt smoooooooth as butter, like it had way more HP to go. I don't even think i was near redline, ill try to do it again today.

I know the RA is aerodynamical limted to 132mph... but I think that's a load of crap , cuz i know/feel it can go past the speedo (130mph).

Also, I do all my runs on closed roads.

The top speed of the car varies depending on whether you have a head or tail wind, and if you're going downhill. Anywhere from 130mph-140mph (est). I haven't yet had a safe opportunity to get above 120.
