Even Dealers are confused!!!
Give me a break!!!
I have a RA and I know why I bought it.
Most of my salesmen are below 30 and I got them motivated by putting an X-BOX with RalliSport 2 Challenge in the waiting lounge and belive me they know what a RA and EVO is.
We are not all like that, and yes I keep learning more each day thanks to you guys and evolutionm.net

when i went to see the ralliart the very first time and took a test drive the salesman said that it had a turbo, all the lancers were turbo charged. i just looked at him kept on driving. what a goof. i bought somewhere else due to different colors and more knowledgeable staff. the guy was a total idiot. i guess people really do go to a dealer without doing any research and just pick a car. unbelievable.

I guess they've updated their computers since then, because a month or so after I had the car, I got a new insurance card in the mail, and it said RA.
When I first test-drove the RA, I did it with a salesman from the Hyundai end of the building. He was completely honest with me and told me that he didn't know jack-**** about the car. On my second test drive, I did it with the actual Mitsu salesman, and he figured out fairly quick that I did my homework, and didn't try to pass any BS on me.
MITSU-DEALER: More salesman need to take an interest like you do.

not to stick up for the car turds but i sold home loans for a while. I DON'T EVEN OWN A HOME!!!! i knew nothing about homes & didn't even care about the people i was selling loans too. it's all about the commission checks cuz there is at least 1 guy at every lot who's the top dog & paid cash for his evo+ it's modded. there was a guy in my loan unit averaging $15k a month take home!! he cheated people & charged extra fees for nothing & he lived w/his mom. he didn't lose sleep over jacking people either. to him each person was a certain "dollar amount" & had no concern for their needs whatsoever.
that is the true salesman. he's probably that jerk who cut you off in traffic in a SUV with 25 tv's & fake spinners who rents escorts to look cool in the club & they have the same outfit on every week...

But I did give them the VIN # so I guess I might get a new card sometime this year
I agree that the salespeople do not much about the cars. My husband works for the Eastern Regional office and I used to (got laid off). We visited a local dealership to have an oil change done on one of our Ralliarts, while we were waiting we went and looked around and were approached by a salesman. I started asking him questions about the Evo and he couldn't answer one of them. So I started spitting out information and he started taking notes. He didn't know anything, but he wanted to learn. I don't think its completely Mitsu's fault, I think alot of the blame should be put on the dealerships for hiring salespeople who know nothing about the brand and for not requiring them to go through the proper training.
