Looking for complete Exhaust System

I know I'm asking this question like 1000 people prior.... however i want to get a complete aftermarket exhaust system.... from exhaust headers all the way to the muffler. I want to use a magnaflow exhaust, and i'm getting the AEM CAI... any suggestions on the headers to the exhaust.... freeing up all the HP possible while keeping it street legal.

I Live in PA and don't know where i can find exhaust laws... (emissions or noise).

I believe i read that widebody lancer is building them. I'm not really good with mechanics... the most i've done is pissed around with my daewoo lanos S HB... i'm thinking about ripping the engine apart... but i might just try to sell it....

You probably should search around first before making any choices. A new header will free up no extra hp, since it's already optimized for flow. The only way a new header will gain you more power is if you go for turbo.

Also, the stock piping from the cat back is optimized for flow as well, as far as N/A applications go. I would recommend the downpipe, but that won't clear emissions. You will see good gains with the CAI and possibly the RRM piggyback ECU.

Check here for your state's emissions laws regarding automobiles. I've heard they're strict in your state, so good luck!

There's aftermarket everything except for the header. You're out of luck on that part.

do the downpipe , with a flange, then the rest of the way back to the magnaflow, when it comes time for inspection just put the cat on and go to the inspection station. i don't know how good of an idea that is , my opinion but that is what i'm gonna do, to each there own

if you take the header to get some nicer porting and polish it up a bit, you should get some improvement, but not much. same for the exhause ports and intake manifold

i doubt there much gain from p&p of the exhaust manifold..

and the down pipe is not emission legal

i would think that you get more gains by playing around with your air-fuel settings (rrm piggy back, emanage, etc) and running 92+ octane

The magnaflow does a very nice deep throaty sound. If you get a cat-back, make sure there's a resonator on it!! Without it, you'll get that honda sound. Car comes stock with a resonator, so if you just have a new muffler welded in, you'll get that sound.

I thought the resonator restricted the loudness and HP's.... atleast when i listened to the Impreza/WRX on magnaflow.com the sound was like supa fly.... all it had was a silencer.

the resonator takes out the 'buzz' from an exhaust. But it depends on the engine. Most WRX's will sound amazing, but that 'growl' that comes from the exhaust note is a result of the boxer engine, and not the exhaust system itself. You'll need a resonator in your mid-pipe. Otherwise, it's going to sound awful.

who makes the best exhaust systems for our car?? i don't know if this should be a new thread but it does go with the topic . i know that you could get a universal muffler but i mean from the downpipe back , or cat-back, or axel back like rrm
