got it first week of december, just over 3000 miles on it...when i get a new one maybe i can get brand loyalty
Holy Shiet. Mine isn't that bad... maybe the airbags are a recall waiting to happen, but tbh if they don't go off for that bad off an accident, i wouldn't really see them saving lives so, i guess an aftermarket steering wheel isn't exactly a bad idea?

LoL it's all good.
I'm alive
I'm getting the accolade kit
I'm never taking the RA out in winter. EVER.

so i mean it could have been worse. I could be dead, car totaled. but all i did was wreck the bumper and driver's side fender so... actually i'm kinda excited, i was hoping to make it a sleeper then pimp out the interior/exterior... but Nature decided otherwise.

Airbags are not supposed to go off in rollovers unless you have side curtain airbags.

How are people rolling over the RAs??? I can think of 3 rollovers off the top of my head, and I'm sure there's more.

ya front airbags are set to go off with a certain level of deceleration. i think its from directly in front or 15 degrees to each side...if i remember my restraints course correctly.

Yes all the serious RA wrecks I've seen are rollovers. Maybe it's because they go in a ditch ? I don't know.... But seems like people are surviving them.

Ouch! I haven't seen a wreck that bad since my senior prom! Glad your ok oldjames, but you must be sore as ****! I didn't move for 3 days after mine. So did the trees shear the back of the roof or was that the jaws? In regard to how to roll a RA, just get into a turn a little too fast (okay alot too fast) and forget the active brakes will save your butt! I almost flipped it giving a friend a Mr. Toads wild test ride. I thought the Ralliart suspension should make it handle like my DSM did... Nope, the RA's center of gravity is a wee bit higher than a 92 Laser RS. I'm just glad the brakes worked as advertised. Pulled the back end back in line with the front at least.

I still can't get over the roof being that torn up oldjames.... You sure Spiderman didn't yank you out the car at the last second?
