You're comparing apples to oranges my friend. Does RRM have C.A.R.B. aproval? No. It costs money to get these things approved. A$$hole cops in California (and everywhere else) love to pull over compacts. If the extra $100 gets you out of a $150 ticket and lets you keep the intake, it is well worth the money.

Your comparison is like the C6 Corvette verses the Porsche 997 Carrera S. They are both comparable in performance, but it's the extra refinement and rarity that make it all that more special and meaningfull. Even if it's nearly twice the cost.

Likewise, while the AEM may not yield extra power, the CARB sticker and AEM name are reason enough for some.

My yuppy *** will probably pick one up.

And a Porsche one day too.

But isn't the Injen CAI pending CARB approval? I don't know if it'll get you out of a ticket or not, but I think all Injen intakes either have or are pending...
Just pitching a couple of pennies out there.

I just got my Injen last night. I haven't installed it. btu I also have and AEM for my Honda and the AEM seemed much cheaper. The injens tubbng is heavier I like it a lot more. I don't know if its just Hondas don't need the thicker plastic or what? I dunno. but Im really liking this Injen.

Hmmm, according to AEM dynos... they pulled better hp/trq numbers than injen intake and RRM has dyno there intake yet. People said AEM blows up there numbers for sale, but here are the dyno results...

160hp/155trq = AEM
155hp/150trq = Injen
