132 mph = 212.433408 km/h
i have hit 200 km/h on my car and it was still stable as ever.. i would have to call BS on either you going 132 mph or your car lifting (or both)

Unless you're going down hill (or have extensive horsepower mods), wouldn't physics prohibit an RA from going faster than the drag-limited top speed of 132? I was under the impression that the combo of aerodynamics and horsepower made 132 the fastest you could go. After that, you're just a brick in the wind, so to speak. I've been in the 120's a couple of times, but ran out of road so I can't say for certain.
Hmmzz well then I must have been goin faster than 138.. Cause I was pegged and I was at redline too.. So I HAD to have been goin faster than you guys.. I felt it lift a slight bit.. I mean it was noticeable.. but it made it feel like any bump or pebble would make me flip.Anyways point being.. I need somthing to help reduce the Drag Coefficient.. Splitters and all those other goodies ( diffusers,Canards and springs) will help alot.I am probably gonna go with Road Race for the Splitter and Whatever I can get for the Diffuser.. anyone know it the Splitter & Diffuser for a Evo will fit the RA?I dont see why not.. But Just a Curiosity question.
splitter won't help as much as a canard. if you want to test it out, make a cheap splitter out of plywood. install w/ maybe rods going to front plate mount. drive really fast.
as for speed, i've been in accords-91, that have gone 135, and my civic would go about 132. evo so far i've pushed to 150. if you generate more power, you will be able to go faster.
There are 3 type of speed limiters:
electronic- i.e. bmw, mercedes
drag limited- what you mentioned above,
and gearing- most evo's
your theoretical top speed would be redline in 5th gear. if you can make enough power- i.e. turbo, nitrous whatever, you can overcome your cd and go faster.

If he want to go faster he needs to reduce drag.
If he want to stay on the ground he needs more drag.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. You must pick one or the other. It's simple physics. I could go into my fluid dynamics class, but I don't feel like writing what would become a small novel for the EvoM boards.

But yes, lowering the car would allow less air to get under the car.

oh and if your still referring to the mivec discussion awhile back...run a search....80% of people will still say that mivec doesnt kick in till 3500krpm...go figure...go get a life...sometime i think you post the dumest ****..always thinking like you know everything...not my fault you cant get laid man...

I'll say this in as few words as posible so I don't confuse you. He wants to go faster, but he wants downforce. The more downforce you get, the slower you go. The less downforce you get, the faster you go. You can't get both without more power.

the more downforce you generate (to reduce lift) the more drag you introduce, therefore it makes it HARDER for you to go faster
so in essence, if he generates enough downforce to prevent lift, he is diverting power that should have went to make him go FASTER.. so he might never get to that same speed he was at when he was lifting..
so what MitsuRalliArt is saying is that it's a linear formula.. you need to add more HP in order to get to the same speed.. you can't just divert energy and get it for "free"
and writing good English in these forums just makes it easier to get your point across and to get people to take you seriously
