I make typos as well, but when I have to read a sentence 2 to 3 times to get the point, it makes it too hard to even skim a thread.

Formula 1 race cars have so much down force and therefore generate so much drag, that simply lifting your foot off the gas at 200 mph will cause you to slow down at a rate of 1G. A stock EVO can barely exceed 1 G in deceleration with the brake pedal to the floor.

Downforce = Drag

Drag = Slow

Slow = Riced out base lancer posers

Sillypuddy may have explained it well, but I thought I’d add a little more to the drag discussion.

Just because I haven’t said anything in a particular thread doesn’t mean I’m not shaking my head silently in front of my lapton…

I have said enough. I’m done wasting my time with you in this thread, I have nothing more to offer.

haha funny guy, well i dont really need to justify why my car is the way it is...all that matters is that i like it... oh and that its not a civic....if your shaking your head either in disappointment or just think im plain dumb for what i have said then correct me...life is a learning process and if im wrong then let me know and ill accept it...

i also do understand that if he adds the splitter/canards/diffuser that it would add drag...and that it would be harder for him to achieve certain speeds because of the added drag...

again look at my reply to mitsu's first statement about drag...did i even say anything conflicting?

oh and my first language was Tagalog then Spanish then English then Island broken English. lol....seriously man if you have a problems with me aim me, or pm me as i have never done anything to you...and dont be afraid of people correcting you either...

I accept your peace offering, and I raise a beer. Actually my glass is half empty, but oh well.

As far as the rice comment goes, I may have crossed the line. However, I would have saved some time and just bought the whole car. And thanks for not buying a civic.

As it is written, a man shall not live by 1.7L alone.

I hate Hondas, I really do. They are an engineering company, they should just think **** up and let other people make the cars.

ok.. Now that the Bickering is done... I AM NOT A GUY!!!!! I AM A CHICK... now that I am off my soapbox.. I am aware of it creating more drag and making me slower.. But I am eventually gonna need all this crap and its gona be real soon.. I am debating now on wheather or not I want suspension upgrades(coilovers,springs,etc.) or if I want the slpitters and Canards and stuff for the drag issue.Either way I am doing something or both and its gotta be in the next week or 2.My car is in NO way Riced out and that Crossed the line and kinda pissed me off with that comment as I am taking the RA in NOPI Chic class this year.So the Whole point of of me needing this stuff is so I dont go flipping down the dragstrip.Make no questions about HP.. that is not an issue at this point as I already have things lined up and goin in for the RA.Things that probably you guys wont get until its on my car and tested out.
Sorry for sounding a bit brash but all I needed was where to get the Splitter,Canards,and diffuser from.On that note.. I am getting the splitter from Carbontrix however I need to know where to find the Diffuser and Canards.You guys definately know a bit about drag and the coefficient of drag... Thanks for the insight and the help.. But please dont fight and argue in my threads.. as a Ex Mod on a nother Forum( now closed) I would remove posts like that.. I cant stand it when people argue over little things.And BTW.. I HATE HONDAS!!!! Civics are little pains in the *** that think they are better and faster than the rest of the world.Sorry but the ONLY Civic i can respect is that of Steph Papadakis.He worked his but off to get it that fast and that is repectable that he runs under 7 sec quarters. OK now that I am completely off the box... Anyone care to tell me where I can find the other things.. Canards and Diffuser.. Thanks

~Laura~

Its k...Its understandable.. The name doesnt give much indication that I am a chick nor does the way I type.I was raised in a racing family.. Mostly Nascar but some uncles did Drag racing for a short time so I learned my way around a garage from a young age and most girls dont get that opportunity.Not sounding mean or anything but there are few chicks that actually know thier ****.

Ok so Ebay and a Local shop huh?
I will just buy a sheet of Carbonm Fiber from CarbonTrix and make my own then.either that or make a rear Diffuser from a Evo fit.. if they have them yet(and they should).

Illicitralliart - My suggestion to you would be this. If you haven't yet done your suspension upgrades (i.e. coilovers/springs, sways bars/perche's and such) then do those before you spend your money on aerodynamics. Proper suspension will benifit you at ALL speeds whereas splitters and canards will only help out at high speeds AND actually set you back in terms of top speed.

I have almost topped out my car on one of our hwy's here after I had it lowered w/ a set of Tien S-Type springs and I have a RRM sway bar and my car felt EXTREMELY stable at 120+mph.

What are you doin' at those speeds anyways? Drag or long straight away on a course?? Or just for fun..heh

I thought the Evo only had a front diffuser. Anyway, if you guys want to learn about aerodynamics, try going to MulsannesCorner

If you are still looking for a splitter, diffuser, and canards look at APR performance. They make some cool stuff for the evo if it will fit our car. They also have a template for there canards that you can print and cut out so you can kind of test fit them against your car to see if the real thing will fit. pretty cool if you ask me.
