wipers complaint

has anyone ever noticed or found that the speed of the windshield wipers arent really good?

it was raining yesterday and they either went to slow or too fast. i think we need a speed right in between these 2. can this be fixed or i just basically gotta suck it up and get over it?!

isn't there a 3-way selector? (up-down 3 different spots) Intermittent, Slow, Fast?

if you put it on intermittent I believe there is about 6-8 speeds? someone correct me if i'm wrong... you twist the handle

haha. don't feel dumb. I was even playing with the sped adjustment and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on when the speed would all the sudden change. It was dark.. I'll blame it on that. I couldn't see the switch clearly.

Not only are they intermittent, but they slow down under 15mph and speed up over that!!! When I'm bored I'll count the seconds between swipes...

For instance, let's say on the freeway there is 6sec between cycles, when you get off and come to a stop, there will now be around 9sec.

Hell put some grounding wires and add 10-15 hp's to those puppies (j/k those #'s are only reachable by civics) more realistically 3-5 lol

not sure if this is a sarcastic statement or not, but this is probably because when you are moving the wind forces the wipers up quicker. or is this something inherent to our cars?

i know my dad's mercedes has a rpm/volume control...if you have the radio up to 30 at 80mph, and slow down to 15mph, the volume decreases to about 15.

Is anyone else having problems with the intermitant wipers? By problems I mean it seems like there is only 3 intermittant speeds (5 total). The 2 fastest and 2 slowest seem to be the same. The 2 fastest seem like the "slow steady" setting! Is this happening to anyone else or just because I got a demo car?

Thanks,

AMG

the fastest speed is the same as the 'slow steady' speed, except is slows down automatically under 15mph. the 2nd fastest, for me, has a longer interval.

the 2 slowest have a difference as well.
