New Tranny For Me!!!

Today I went to my dealer to see if they could fix my 5th gear. When shifting from 4th to 5th, I was constantly getting some grinding in 5th. My dealer already rebuilt my 1,2,3 and 4th gears in the fall. So, after buying the service manager a coffee and explaning that I don't beat my car, they decided to get me a whole new tranny. So come monday, I will be getting a brand NEW tranny No more grinding. This is what I call service and I must say that they are really going the extra mile for me on this one.

wow, u got a cool dealer =) i called up a local one to put in an order for a valve cover gasket and head gasket. they asked if it was leaking. i said no, im just gonna do some work and should replace them for all it costs. they guy told me to just reuse them caus its under warranty. if they leak when u put them on, play dumb and say u never touched it and have mitsu pick up the tab. it helps them pay the techs =)

if by precedent you mean one of the first to be done, well i'm on my 5th, so yeah its been done. and very big job, not really... give it a shot sometime when you have the opportunity, its really not that big of a deal once you do it yourself.

Anyone know how long this should take? I figure a full 8 hour day? I will be there all day with my camera and I will take pics. I want to see my clutch to verify the condition of it. Just to see how long I have left on it. My dealer is really good to me. They hook me up with good deals and good service. PROPS to my dealer
