Is it just me or does MIVEC open @ 4k rpms? I know it's 3.5k, but reading all these dynos, I dont see a spike until 4k. Actually see a fall @ 3.5k. Also when driving my car, I don't see a speedo difference, or hear an engine/exhaust noise @ 3.5k, but @ 4k I feel all those comming in... idk, maybe it's just my car....???

EDIT: not kick,

all i have is an cai, and your right i usually here an opening sound of the intake load until around 4k, i mean i don't think your gonna feel the mivec kick in or a major speed difference but more of a steady up in speed.

I hear a change in my engine sound right at 3600rpm. Up until that point, my CAI makes a whisling sucking type sound, then at/after 3600 it starts to roar.

Heres a dyno of my car stock, and then now with a cai. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...chmentid=54022

And arithmetic MIVEC comes on @ 3600 i think, it doesnt "kick" in like Vtec its smoother. If u listen with radio off windows down u can barely hear it come on, its louder with a intake though. I know we get max torque @ 4000 maybe thats what u feel?

even before my intake and exhaust and when I was bone stock, myself and my friends didnt feel any engine improvment or throttle response intill 4k, now w/ my mods i feel a greater response @ 4k. Even stock and modded dynos of the RA don't show a spike of power intill 4k.
