Clock, dome light, power locks, and CD deck...

Can anyone help me with this problem...Here's what happened:

I first started cleaning the engine with a little soap and water, then I wiped the engine down, clean and dry. Next, I started to remove my CD deck and the climate control panel to color match my interior lights (all red). After that, I took the center console off and changed the ciggarette and ashtray lights to red. I changed the blue gel cap covers to red and replaced everything back to its original place. When I started the car and put my CD deck back, I noticed that the clock, my dome light, my CD deck, my power locks didn't work anymore...Does anyone know what has happened to my car?????...Does anyone know what is connected to those parts??? The good thing is that the lights I replaced is working. Please help me...Thanks.

so about three replies within 5 minutes of your original post wasnt enough? you dont need to post multiple posts.

Hey man, Im not to sure on the Lancer, but I had a simular problem with my neon doing the same thing. Check all your fuses, even the ones under the hood. I beleive it may even be the ignition off power supply fuse. (not sure if the lancer has this fuse)

check your fuses, both under the hood and in the car. Did you disconnect your bat when removing deck?

Yep, sounds like you blew a fuse. I wouldn't spray down my engine. Wipe it, yeah, but too many places for the water to get into if you spray it (alternator is a big example

You could have a fried wire somewhere. If the water shorted one of them.

OK

I had the exact same problem (including the turn signals) on and off. It would work one minute, not work the next. I slammed the coin holder thingy closed and my dome light came on. I took it out completelt and tightened the screw that holds the fuse panel and everything now workss perfectly all the time. I had been down there removing panels to install my pedals and figure something may have come loose. I'm sure mine isn't the only one. Try seeing if the fuse box is secured - I checked ALL the fuses and that wasn't the problem. I'm going to have the dealer look at it when it goes in next week for service, but its been fine for over a month so I am sure its ok.

If you still can't figure it out after all of this help, PM Z_Lancer_Man. He sells light kits and knows a bit about this stuff.
