Getting back to the original topic of this thread, I too have the free service with my RA. I have been using mobile 1 synthetic since I changed from the original oil at 500 miles. I have only changed it at the 7500 intervals with the dealer. The first time I asked the dealer to use the mobile 1 synthetic and the bastards charged me like $40 for the oil. So since then I just buy the oil and take it in to them and have them use it. Much cheaper and they haven't given me any crap about taking in my own oil.

As for what else is done on these services I think Mitsu has a list of what they include and some dealers do a bit more. I know mine does allignment and puts in BG44k fuel treatment and Tranny conditioner. These are some extras that not all dealers do.

I use amsoil.

Hastings says their oil filter number for the RA is: LF565
It's a new number and most stores will have to order it. From tests I've read they are supposed to be good filters. If anyone has other advice I'd appreciate it as I've ordered this filter for my car.
