Where did it go?!

OOOhh!!! There it is!

did the battery relocation to free up a bit of engine room and to put some weight in the rear. turned out pretty nice, but i'm getting some buzz out of my speakers. i'll probably run a few more ground wires from the battery terminal but i doubt that will stop all of it.

let me know what ya'll think!

really nice job am.. only one thing and i hope you already thought about it... cover the battery you wouldnt want it to explode and acid ruin the area, secure it with a black box auto parts must sell for that kind of relocation...
but otherwise nice looking job!

yeah, i'm getting a battery box...i wasn't even thinking about doing this today, but i just though...what the hell. i might actually make my own box, but for $12 at the local boat shop, i'll probably just buy it.

thanks for all the feedback! more welcome!

You might want to change the topic to refer to battery not batter. I thought you were referring to the whole baseball steriods issue. At least you didn't have mark mcguire in your trunk.

BTW, thats pretty cool. I wonder how much it really balances things.

I thought this was about a cooking event of some sort. Sigh... disappointed once again. Maybe next time.

I fixed the thread title, no cooking here.

Make sure you don't have any speaker/signal wires going near your battery's positive wire, that'll cause lots of speaker noise.

Are you planning to put anything on the right side of the trunk to balance the side weight ???

the gauge of wire that you used looks a little small,4gauge im guessing?...try a 2gauge or a 0gauge, would be better, and put it on the passenger side to even out the weight distribution a little more, but whats done is done, looks great good job!, ive been wantingto do this for awhile, just havent gotten aorund to it

it was put on the driver side because of the sub on the passenger side. i aslo didn't have enough wire to go from passenger to driver.

the wire is 4awg because that's what i had left over from my jeep system. i do want to upgrade to 2 or 0awg, but in time.

i am getting a box soon. like i said...this was a wim sort of mod, i didn't really plan it. i was like...hmmm, i have the stuff, let's do it!

as for running the wire...it's run under the driver side sill panels. and through the fire wall between the brake booster and steering column. not hard at all to do.

otter, you're right man...there are speaker wires under the power line, but honestly, the RA has speaker wire under almost every hidden part of the car! i thought about doing it under the body, but felt uncomfortable with that...plus you have to go over/under the suspension and crap. and thanks for updating my thread title...didn't even notice i said "batter."

haha...optima...yes, i would like to get one of those, but i'm saving my money for something a bit bigger. i had an optima in my jeep that i was gonna swap out, but once i put the battery box in, you won't be able to tell anyway.

btw, i took it on some twisties last night and today and i can really tell a difference. the rear end comes around a lot better and i don't have as much plow. it's slight, but noticeable i think.
