You can get rid of that anoying beep now if you want. All you need to do is unplug the little harness that runs to your seatbelt clip. You will see it under the seat, little white connector.

never use harnesses with race seats unless you feel like holding up the roof of the car..

if (big knock on wood, don't mean to jinx you) you get into a roll over, you will be strapped into your seat and without a way to "dodge" when the roof caves in

the only time you should use harnesses is if you have a roll cage

I don't either. Smoking+cars is the worst combo ever. If I do buy a used car and I get a wiff of smoke, I walk away. The film of smoke on everything and stale smoke smell wreck a car, completely.

In my car, it totally depends on who it is that wants to smoke/eat/drink. One of my friends is WAY more **** than I am about cars, he can do any of the three in my car. I know he won't f**k it up.

Most other people, though, are lucky if I let them drink from a re-sealable bottle, much less smoke or eat in my car. One of my co-workers tore open a bag of Doritos in my car, and I told him to put them away. I wasn't having him wipe Dorito cheese all over my seats.

Kids can't eat or drink in my car. I'd prefer it if they didn't smear their hand prints all over my windows, either.

Me? I don't smoke. I drink in my car almost every day, and would eat in it, as long as the food isn't messy. Chips are messy. Most fast food is messy. If it drops crumbs, drips ketchup, or leaves any kind of goo on your hands, I don't eat it in my car.

I HATE people touching my windows. Especially the tint or right after I cleaned them. Especially in winter on the fog, they draw **** "you can't see it when the fog goes away." YES YOU CAN!
I allow eating and drinking, but make sure they know the consequences of a spill (some very loud yelling from me, I get very scary when I yell at full loudness
I do try to avoid eating and drinking though. I drink and eat in my car all the time. I have spilt something only once, a huge theatre size coke (about 3/4 full) ALL over my seat, mat and door
The lid popped off and almost all the drink spilt, I was so mad I tore into a residential street and threw the cup out, then shook as much drink off as I could.
No smoking what-so-ever though. Not only burns I worry about, but the general mess smoking leaves (smell, filmy residue on everything etc).
