Hail Storm

Well.. my RA saw its first hail storm... No Sir, I didnt Like it

there doesnt seem to be any body damage, but there arequite a few chips in the paint. Only on the very front of the hood it seems.

I thought it would dent before the paint would chip like that, anyone else have similar probs?

Are you sure the chips are from the hailstorm? I have paint chips on the hood near the front but they are from little rocks that get kicked up on the freeway. Installing a bug deflector seems to help. BTW I have had my car outside during a hailstorm and I didn't notice any extra paint chips after a quick inspection.

I have chips all over the front of my car. Bumper, front edge of the hood, one on the fender next to the left headlight. All from rocks on the freeway.

Try the bug deflector. It seems to help in my case. Instead of hitting the hood you can see the little rocks bounce off the windshield. Or you could get a bra for the car.

yah the OEM bug shield is sweet. Looks kinda cool on the Lab Black RA too. I have noticed that it takes the chips rather than my hood

the hails shouldnt chip it, unless the factory messed up the paintjob or something..my car went through a serious hailstorm and it got dented to hell but not one chip could i find. heres a pic of the top of the car so you can see how extensive it is
