I think the rims look a bit too bling for this type of car. Also painting the hood to make it look like CF is almost ricy.

he didnt say he was painting it to make it look like carbon fiber. he's prolly painting it to add some accenting to the car or to match the rims. and painting the hood prolly wont cost as much as a cf hood + shipping. xtian, go for it, i think it will match the rims nicely.

 

exactly!! thats the whole point!! im not making it to look like cf... if u ever picked up a import magazine and look at some cars.. they have painted there hoods glossy black..and i liked it alot.. u can call me ricey.. but if u think about it?? wuts rice??? do u know uts rice??? get the defintion of it..then accuse me after..lol so..dude.. im just tryin to be unique... and yeah..im not gona pay $900 shipped for a cf hood.. i live in chciago..weather is nasty up here.. so its not practical... and beside..i just got of teh shop..got the estimate.. and the guy was pretty cool.. im getting RA headlights, RA front bumper, sport type grill(mesh), and yeah.. my hoods gona be thurnder grey..to match my rims.. over all.. im gona keep it looking clean.. ur all credible for ur opinions.. this is just mine.. i like it.. next time u use the word rice.. pls. be resonable.. wut if u put something unique in ur car.. and i called it rice... would u feel good??!? just a thought! peace yall!! wish me luck!! goodbless.. always! I didn't mean any offence. You asked for opinions and I stated mine. I've seen plenty of civic hatches with just their hoods painted black and that just screams rice to me. Don't take it personally.

 

shake the haters, man... your wheels look clean, and everyone sayin' they're "bling" or "chrome" doesn't know jack (or maybe, in their defense, just can't see them clearly in the pic)... and if you wanna paint the hood, i'm sure it'll look nice. keep the mods comin', make sure to get your ride dropped eventually (that'll make a huge difference in its looks), and don't let anyone tell you what does or doesn't look good. taste is personal.

 

xtian... to Chicago it's $799 for CF hood... prolly less for OEM... LOL, not that it's that big a difference...

Anyway... I think you could think about painting the middle part & leaving the sides of the hood that run over the headlights silver... Just a thought... But I say go with whatever you think's gonna look good, it's your ride!!!

yeah bro..i come to meets.. i always go with ralph.. the 03 lancer guy with a kaminari kit.. i think is aw ur grey RA..with an evo8 wing? am i right? anyways.. ur cars hot.. i appeard in buffulo wind wings ..bone stock!!! it was embarassing..lol.. anyways.. good news guys!! getting the car next friday!!! and guess wut... they are doin my hood ( thunder gray but darker)..they wer pretty cool guys.. and yeas..im getting RA headlights! and posible a RA bumper with the front lip.. and yeah. the sport type grill.. so all in all.. im just wainting for my baby to come back.. they gave me 6 business days to finish.. i wish i coudl afford 799 for a hood cf would be pimp.. but ill be goin to a difrent route.. cheaper.. but i would get the look i want.. and im happy.. yeah.. the pics where dropped.. i wana drop it too.. but u know.. $$$$$ aint that easy..one project at a time.. and i hope this accident..means a new beginning for the better.. wish me luck guys!
