Ralliart Trunk speaker Setup

ok so i have these old 10" JBL woofers- 1985- and a JVC amp - 1983 (dual 40 w RMS outputs) and im puting them in my lancer. i was going for the board beaneth the back window but no room, and id have to cut on the metal and i dont wanna weaken the body any. I want to mount them in the trunk but im not sure how i wanna do it, any suggestions?
(dont be fooled, these speakers were rebuilt and sound better than my friends $3,000 Alpine setup)

Are they open-air woofers? If not, throw them in a box.

A well built wedge box for dual 10's fits just fine in there (it's what I have). Leaves enough space to actually use the trunk. The other option, which I wish I could afford (or had the talent to do myself) would be to build two fiberglass boxes to fit in each back corner of the trunk (so they fire towards the front of the car). Some other people have that setup and it looks really good, and lets them still use the fold down seats.

you need... Plywood, alot of fiberglass, plexyglass...make a custom box for your entire trunk...and creat a big smile on your face when you see its done.

You should use MDF instead of plywood. Also need the skill to put it all together!
Pics of mine coming soon, just too lazy to take any.

This is my vote as well. In terms of asthetics and performance, it would be the best overall option. Probably pricey, but still the best.
