Electronic exhaust cutout

Does anybody make one for the RA? Could one be fitted one the downpipe to bypass the catback? And most importantly, would we see any gains?

the only gains you will see is poison gases in your cabin..

Not a whole lot of gain, and you'd lose torque due to losing too much backpressure. You'd still have to deal with that kink in the stock downpipe, too.

Maybe down by the muffler so you still have some backpressure... you'd be giving up torque either way...

Are they only beneficial to turbos?

I saw some vids of an Evo and an STi with the electronic bypass, and they sounded really cool.

Turbo guys have the benefit of not having to worry about backpressure since the turbo creates plenty for them. A bypass is better suited for them.
