Talking Going to buy a Ralliart, should I wait?

Hey guys, I'm new to the Forum. I recently got a new job and the idea of upgrading my 2003 OZ rally to a Ralliart is looking more and more likely to happen. I'll most likely be purchasing one in December. My question is though, should I wait and see what next year's ralliarts will have or should I just get the best deal on an 05 or 04 that month? I know for a fact I'll be getting an Ralliart by the end of this year at least so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh by the way I'll be getting an manual tranny. As for as upgrades I was thinking of first just buying that blackish grey carbon spoiler they sell at RRM. You think it'll look well on a black ralliart or does that spoiler have to be painted? Also, I was thinking of replacing the grill. I know its probably all generic stuff to upgrade but I'm really new so I'm going to work my way up. Well let me know what you guys think and I look forward to joining the Ralliart crew

If you're waiting untill December, why not wait untill Jan 2nd? That way you save a full years worth of personal property tax. Wait, do you have to pay a yearly assesment on your cars in Virginia? If not then nevermind, I keep forgeting the MO sucks....

I don't think that anything is changing for the 06 ralliart. The 06 eclips will have the same motor as the ralliart so that might interest some. I say wait and decide after you can drive both. Unless your sure you want a 4 door.

By the time December rolls around, the 06's should be here, so you'll know for sure if there's any changes. I doubt there will be, and would recommend going for an awesome deal on an 05.

wouldnt the 06's be here in the summer?? that's usually why dealerships have awesome deals before the summer, to get rid of the old model years and make room for the new. (05's came out in the summer of 04, 06 comes out the summer of 05, etc.) that's what i've been told by a couple dealers that i personally know.

Depends on the area. This past year, for example, some Canadians had their 05 RA's by the end of August. People in the US didn't get the 05's until the Sep/Oct range.

Annual property tax on a CAR? That's the silliest **** I've ever heard of.

I wonder how many states do that?

Hey thanks for all the feedback guys! I guess I'll find out in December which one I'm going to get (05 or 06 model). I've read around in this forum that the tires are pretty bad for the ralliarts. I've even read that some of you guys were able to get your dealer to switch the tires for better ones to close the sale. If I want to do the same, what are some tires that are better then the stock ones AND wouldn't be too expensive for a dealer to throw it in to close the sale?

Depends what kind of tire you're looking for... what kind of treadwear, all season, summer only, etc

it would be good to wait especially when you find out more of the specs on the new ralliart. a good example of this is the 04 and 05 lancer ES, the 04 didn't come with cruise control, but the 05 does.

at least when you wait til december...you can prolly get a good deal as these dealers need $$$ for the holidays! i had a friend that went in new years eve near closing and bought a toyota corolla for dirt cheap as they needed a sale that day

Wait until the 06 comes out. I got an O4 in January of this year. sticker was 18.5 I got the dealer to knock almost 5k off. It took me twice getting up and making my way to the door but I took of 2k from his original offer. It was cheaper than the 05 O.Z. I was originally looking at. I am glad I got the car.

I bought my 04 in march and got one hell of a deal!! Last 04 the delaership had and the GM was a friend of mine, but if you time it right you can save some money with them making room for new inventory.
