All of you with aftermarket seats...

Did you have to fabricate new brackets or modify your old ones or did your seats come with sliders to fit the RA?

I got a quote from a shop today and their saying $400-500 CND to modify the brackets.

They don't make any. Those are the seats that I have. I think think the Sparco ones may fit though.

Ok, I have been in your situation before. First of all, that website mmrusa SUCKS MAJOR A$$$$!!!! 120 a bracket and the dam things dont even fit without having to drill them to accomodate your seat. I have tenzos and thats what I had to do. I went with them and it took them TWO MONTHS to ship them out to me. If i were you, id have somebody fabricate them for you, its cheaper than mmr. As far as sparco brackets, (somebody on here may wanna let you know where you can get them) I have no experience with them. But say you get universal brackets with your seats, and you try to put them on a sparco bracket, it wont work without drilling. After all is said and done, get them fabricated for your car, dont order from mmr.

Thanks for the heads up, I think I will just call around till I can find a reasonable shop to fabricate them. The first quote I got was ridiculous

^^ you would be in the same boat as me, you need to find someone to fab you brackets so you can mount these seats in your car.

so Nick (Fifty) and I both just bought some recaro imitations (made in the same factory even, basically identical) and they come with sliders, but we have to get some brackets made it seems. i've got a buddy who works for a company that also owns a different company that is a metal fabrication place, so I'm sending pics to them tomorrow for them to look at and have told them that i can drop off one of my stock seats (passenger) and one of my new seats if they need them too. hopefully we can get some brackets made.

i have one question tho, without pulling out the driver side seat, is the bracket a mirror image of the passenger side? in other words, is it exactly the same but just reversed for the other side? it looks like it is, but thought i'd ask to confirm.
cheers,
Ry

https://www.rallysportdirect.com/, I believe they make brackets specifically for the lancer (evo) and for sparco seats, might be worth a shot.

ok.... i still dont understand this slider bracket deal......
sliders - make your seat slide (right???)
brackets - make your slides bolt on to the vehicle (right??)

sooo... you would need sliders and brackets right??? or do you just need one??? soo confused... simple concept.. but wow I am lost on this one.... ahahah
