Make sure there's nothing loose hanging down in your tire well. Inspect your CV boots for tears or damage. Grab the half-shaft and see if there's any play when you try to shake it around. Can you recreate the problem? If so, take it to the dealership. You might need a new CV joint, should be covered by warranty.

Does the popping only happen when turning one direction, all the time, or just under acceleration while turning? Could be a bad CV joint, but it could be other things, also.

kinda off topic but i get a cracking type sound when i go from a stop and when i shift into 2nd, so its only 1st and 2nd that make the poping and cracking sound for me, and its only from a stop, could that have something to do with the CV also?

it's probably the CV boot, i've had that happen twice... it's a result of taking a tight turn while accelerating out of it pretty heavily.... at least that's how i did it and both times it was my right front. If i'm right it's going to be a popping sound and to recreate it, which ever side you did it to, you'll have to take a corner while accelerating to get it to do that other then that you won't hear it to much. Good thing it's under warrenty you would looking at about anywhere from $400-600 depending maybe more. That was like 3 years ago last time i had it done. Unless you do it yourself.

If you look underneath your front end, you'll see a half-axle going from your tranny to your front wheel. At the ends of that axle is a rubber boot, inside that is the CV joint.

alright man, thanx i'm gunna check it out first thing in the morning! im hoping that theres just something stuck up there and not actually the joint, about 10K miles ago i was having another type of popping noise and i thought that it was the joint so i took it to the dealership and it actually turned out to be a bunch of rocks and twigs in the coils! i live out in a little town south of dallas so its like all country...hopefully this turns out to be something like that
