no, what i was saying is that mitsu could offer a turbo ra to compete with the srt4 market. turbo fwd 4-doors do actually have a market and many a evo have been beat by the srt4s (sadly). however, the price of the NA ralliart would have to drop to make it competitive and a boosted RA would cost more than the equally equipped srt4 (although the srt4 is just a cheap econobox /w some better foundation work and a boosted stronger block. rough edges and bland,.handles like a minivan).

i dont see it being something mitsu would do, but it prob wouldnt loose them any money. its just not their style

...I wonder... 457 posts and can't figure out how to attach pics? are ya feeling ok EVIL MR?

Anyways. I wonder how Mitsu would manage to sqeeze in a SRT4-matched Lancer Ralliart with a turbo and keep it below the power level of an Evo and the new Eclipse being as how the base Eclipse model costs just over the current Ralliart... I think the Lancer Ralliart is pretty much done. Mitsu was loosing sales and well... as we know OZ, Eclipses, and Evos are pretty much what sells for them. (excluding the non-sporty cars of course)

You're focusing too much on power mate. An SRT-4 is a bad car stuffed with a powerfull engine. If Mitsubishi went with a beefed-up model to fill the gap between the RA and EVO, they could simply sell a car with the same handling and equipment than the RA but with the same kind of power than a 3 years old EVO for example. Maybe slap in a moderate type of LSD (so the car is still easy to drive).

The car would be in the price range of the SRT-4... but would handle like a decent car (!) and still have tons of nice features (such has a decent 4 channels ABS package with EBD). I think that's a winning combination for sure! I'd sure be interested... 'cause it would still be a car suitable for family use but I would also smoke much of what's on the road when I want to.

If it what we're getting, I think it's a nice evolution of the current style. I really like the style of those grills... I'm not sure about the seats though... really weird looking. But most of the cosmetic items would probably different here anyway.

well , i think there would be a market for a ralliart turbo and people that are saying that they cant cause they got the evo .... well .... lets just take subaru cars and make a comparison ..... very simple
IMpreza 2.5 RS can compare to Lancer RA
WRX can compare to ......
WRX STI compare to EVO
fill in the blank and enjoy
