taillight tint

I have heard that some tint shops will tint your tails. I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of this. I want to get tha overlays, but I am not good at tedious stuff. I asked the place where I got my tint done and they wont do it.

The Mitsubishi Dealer in Edmonton has a show car with a T-2 turbo that has the tint over the tails. I didn't think it looked that great close up, but when I saw it on the road it looked great. The dealer was Southside Mitsubishi. I don't know where you are from, but it has been done before if that helps.

I think they would use vinyl, just like the overlays. Window tint would never last on the tail lights - imagine if your windows were tinted on the outside .

Yeah, I asked my local tint guy about this a few months back, and he said it could be done, but it doesn't hold up well to scratching and rock pits. He said vinyl is the way to go.

Yeah, a buddy of mine owns a vinyl shop and I've been trying to convince him to get in the overlays business for 2 months now... What do you know, I might even succeed one day!
