Ralliart pet peeves?

Anything about the Ralliart's design **** you off? Yes I know we'd all like to have (lots) more power, handle at 2.0G's etc etc...but anything about just driving the car day in day out that you wish Mitsu had addressed differently?

Well for me, it's gotta be that ungodly turning circle - things needs the same area as a Mack truck to swing around! Most 2 lane roads, a 3 point turn is a must for pulling a u-turn...crazy for a car this size!

mehhh....slow night shift at work!

The hard-to-adapt jerky *** shifting..requires a degree of finesse I've never needed in any past autos...Tercel, 6 spd LT1, old Corsica...all easier then this car.

*edit* By *autos*, I meant manual AUTOmobiles.

The steering wheel... I think Mitsu could've done better (I'm not asking for the EVO Momo, but c'mon, not something ripped out of a Toyota Corolla) for their Ralliart!!!

Gas milage at high speeds. I do a lot of freeway driving to/from work, and I'm filling up my tank just about every 2 days A little toggle switch by the foglight switch that read "cruise/power" to turn MIVEC on/off would be great. Dunno, I might be forced to be one of those law-obeying losers in the right lane.

LSD would be nice, too, especially in the winter. Other than that, no serious gripes, the car's a good fit for me.

I keep thinking it's my driving skills(or lack of)good to hear someone else feels the same way. I'm hoping that the rrm clutchline will fix some of this.
I wonder if this is because of the engine mounts??

I hate how first gear makes a pop every once in a while for no reason.

Yes the steering wheel is kind of ugly wish it was the same as the evo.

1. fabric sun visors, not cheap a$$ vinyl
2. gas cap holder
3. domelight in rear
4. glove compartment light
5. hydrolic hood lift
6. remove rear seat ash tray

Agree about the wheel, could have been a nice, small diameter 3 spoke, but oh well. The Corolla XRS has a nicer wheel
I think that is a small thing and the door rattles are annoying. One other minor thing is the seats are hard to move, they need a big spring pulling on them, either back or forward. So when you move it, the spring gets it moving and you just adjust it with your ***. Most cars are that way anyway.
About it, I like everything about driving the car.

Yeah the gas cap holder would be really helpful.

I get 25-27mpg in the city. I shift at 2500rpm in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and then I shift from 3rd to 5th.

My main peeve would have to be the clutch restrictor. It's annoying as hell.

I agree with everything said above, and I add that the seats could be more comfortable. In my opinion they are not comfy, and my fiancee *****es everytime we are in the car for more than 45 minutes. Shes has actually said she doesnt care if I drop some money into new seats, which is very rare for her to agree with spending money on a car.

For the most part all the negatives about the lancers are small and not really important, but the bad seats and jerky clutch/trans are pretty big deals.

Mine is on the way (delayed...still waiting on that tracking # RRM...), and I've heard it works wonders with the clutch...I'll be sure to PM you the results (probably will post a thread here anyways).

/\/\ My wife and I love these seats. We have gone on many 4-8 hour drives, and arrived in good shape. Even the tranny feels good to me. Its funny to see so many people complain, when I like what I got, esspecially for the money. Then again, I came from owning a 89 CRXsi with 300,000km on it, and original seats , so this car is a dream! Now if I had spent $40,000+, then I may start complaining about some of these minor issues.
