Best place to get a new shifter knob

I was lookin on the Mistu site and saw the optional knob for the RA. I was wonderin if there were online stores that made some cool ones, or if the evos come with a cool one (when they were 5-speed the VIII) that i could buy from an Evo owner if they swapped it for a better one, or if i should just shell out $120 for the RA one.

any input would be appreciated.

and on a side note does Accolade paint their eyelids before they ship em out?

thanks

Do not spend 120 on a shift knob.

Any of the aftermarket evo knobs will work fine and should only cost around 45-60$

Ebay is the best place IMO, i just picked up a Razo w/ the red stiching to match my shift boot...

one thing to consider is getting one that threads on instead of the ones that are universal and held on w/ allen screws. after a while the vibration shakes em loose, one way to fix this is to put white pipe tape so it has something soft to dig into and use locktite on the allen screws.

Yes those set screw knobs are crap and I would never buy one again had one on my last car I couldn't get it to stay on at all. There is tons of big name companies who make knobs Greddy,Works,Kartboy ect... stick with those you will be fine.

ok so like some of you have pointed out already. what are some good ones out there?

i'm lookin for something matte finished steel color with a black gear map area on top. sorta like the new evo ones. but 5 speed of course not 6. I don't want anything too tricked out. think i may be able to find one of these on ebay or maybe even on this forum in the evo section?

I like the Kartboy ones cause they are slick lookin and threaded, the evo threads on the shaft are the same as the RA right?

I was thinkin the silver one with either the red or black inlay. any thoughts? cause i'm not sure if the bright red would blend with the RA interior seat red... hmmmmm

this is the Ralliart knob

^^^ Ive been trying to get ahold of a member who is selling that. Ive PM 3x and email him 2x and still no reponse. I really want that SN, it looks dope. The other shift knob ill probably get (if the mistu sports knob falls thru) is the greedy counter weight, which looks dope aswell.

It all depends on what you are trying to do with your car... personally I bought the Greddy CW Knob and I kept it for about a month and put the leather one back on and I doubt I'll change it cause it looks good and feels good... but if you want more of a race car look inside get the kartboy one... if you want the expensive look go for the more expensive RA knob... just what ever you do don't go cheap...

The Greddy one gets hot as He11 in the sun... I would even put a hat over it and it would be like it was fresh from the stove... if you don't drive your car when it's sunny than it can be a good choice...

The matte finsish might help slightly but it's still gonna be real hot in the summer and real cold in the winter. I have a polished one and it gets super hot. Only reason I haven't gone back to the stock leather is because this one is a counter weight and I love the exrta weight for shifting.
