you have to completely take out the ac control dash. disconnect the ac lines, take out ur cd player, and when thats all said and done, theres the lightbulbs inside and ya gata get pliers and twist them out. i doubt u can get the light bulbs from autozone, only throught mitsubishi though. my friend did his, and he screwed them up once, their really fragile and if u like scrape this one metal part of the bulb it screws up and burns out. their *****es to do. and mitsu charges half hour of labor to do it and the bulbs cost 10 bucks.

You have to take out your CD player first. Then I think there are two scews holding the Climate control unit on, take those off. There are also two little side clips that also hold the climate control unit on the dash. The one thing that is going to be a ***** is disconecting the A/C control cable. I was messing around with this the other day and I was attempting to take this unit out. I ran out of time and didnt really get a chance to mess with the A/C control cable any further. I am sure you can figure it out. The bulbs are cheap. I was thinking of changing the bulbs to match the cluster.
I changed all my dash to RED bulbs. I didn't have to remove the deck though?! You do have to remove most of the dash though just to get at everything. Therez a "how-to" somewhere in the Evo forum that I followed along with correct bulbs to buy.
