Yeah, the red/black is the stock seat fabric. I love it. I have a Greddy Counterweight on it's way...should be in around Thanksgiving. I'll post a pic when it comes in, show it off + the change from my short throw shifter

I have the same interior - the black/red, its factory that way.
Was glad to this thread, wasn't sure how the shifter nob came off- and was wondering because I saw a really cool Carbon Fibre one the other day - don't think that one screws on though, looks like you just shove it on- had some plastic cap adapters for a snug fit and then a hex screw to tighten at the base... not sure I am impressed with how it attaches but damn if it doesnt look good!

I just bought the aluminum one for my evo and for some reason, no matter how I screw it in, the label of the sticker on top of the knob is always in the same wrong position. How did you get yours to line up? Did you have to take the sticker off and put it on again in the right position?

Did you try starting with the sticker upside down? If you start it that way they usually line up.

Don't buy those!!!!

The allen nuts will loosen up and your knob will start spinning during heavy shifting. Those things suck. Never buy a shifter from any discount auto parts store.

Thanks for that, definitely won't be getting it -the whole set of plastic caps for "one size fits all" had me against it from the start- the nob itself looked really cool, so I'll have to keep an eye out for a good screw on

thanks for the heads up !!

From what I understand, the sticker comes separate from the shifter, either you, or whoever you ordered it from pre-applied the sticker, call them and thank them.

Your best bet is to try and peel it off and superglue or gorilla glue it back on the right way.

Thanks, I was going to take the sticker thing off, but I was a little afraid to do it at first.

May I venture to suggest that you place a washer under the knob? I understand that it's an M10x1.25 thread on mitsus. If you're about 1/2 a turn off, the you need a washer around 3mm thick. I don't know how thick stock washers are (no catalogue to hand) but basically any combination that is n.5 x 1.25 thick will do where n is a whole number. Save taking off that sticker....

Your right on the money, I went to the hardware store and tested a few until it worked. Thanks man!

All RA's have red/black (gray) seats and door panels. Evo and OZ are blue/black
