few ideas/suggestions w/ carbon fiber-

ok... we have the cf front lip selling already...

i think it would be a good idea to market some cf rear lips to attach to the rear bumper, and some cf side skirt attachments.

this would look real nice imo- and could save lots of $ instead of buying a full body kit. i think alot of people would consider doing this b/c of the problems some people have when they receive their kits (fitment, alignment, drilling, etc.)

if these come out soon, hoefuly , i get these for free !!! j/k - well a discount atleast..

what do u guys think about this?

yah it looks like a good idea... I saw a thing on Two Guys Garage this morning about lip kits.... I think it was a company called ABS. They put a lip kit on a ford focus and it totally changed the look. I've been looking for a full lip kit. If it were CF and resonablly priced i'd definatly buy one.

I think a little carbon fiber goes a long way... use it for accents, but don't try to make a CF car...

What do you think the price of such a kit would be though? Do you think it would be pricier than a full body kit (like the ones from Accolade or RRM)? I don't know that much about CF but I would think it would be expensive...

If done right (clean lines, not going too high on the body), I think it would look really good on any body color... and that's more than what could be said about (unpainted) CF hoods or trunks.

CF is becoming more & more expensive... There's a world wide shortage of carbon fiber & they're now using most of it for military & aerospace industries...
From what I understand the manufacturer's are expected to raise their prices like 5%-10% on this stuff...!!!

Are you talking ground effects? generally a "lip" refers to the front, air dam/splitter.

Yeah, but then again, ground effect is an aerodynamics term meaning that air rushing under a race car is accelerated through means of a sculpted undertray to generate a zone of low air pressure, thus creating downforce.

I think I'd stick with full body lip kit... after all, they're just small lips and they're installed all around.
