Question Keep the Ralliart or go EVO

Well i need you guys(and girls) opinion on this one , just got a job offer that i am not gonna tun down just because of the money ...ill be moving down to central/south Jersey (so ill be a regular at ATCO and Englishtown tracks )and i dont know what to do now...should i keep the Sportback Ralliart just because is so rare and go all out in mods or get an Evo VIII ? my plans for the wagon if i keep it are body kit ,19 inch rims, ripp sds, custom exhaust ,enough mods to make it 250 to 280 whp,CF hood, tv's behind all 4 head rests, and might get rid of my mtx 9500 12' (im keeeping the 801D amp) and getting 6 5500 series 12's and 2 more 801D amps , 1F cap for each amp and for the highs im keping what i got but the amp is gonna be a pioneer just like the head unit... and the seats are gona be replaced with red Brides,

If i get the Evo im going all out in performance or at least enough to get 450whp and just a mild stereo, pioneer headunit, powerbass highs and for the bass 2 bazooka tubes (the nos look ones) with a real bottle in the middle...and might do some little interior mods and exterior graphics...i wanna find a blue or a yellow evo if i decide to change.... i was thinking of keeping the wagon and getting the Evo but ...have to think about a house too...not my choice(the wife choice) if it was up to me, ill live in the car!! LOL

what the hell! i just go and get an STi or a SRT-4......LOL just joking!! dont ban me from the forum! or send me hate mail!!!

i think having a very original wagon would be very cool... and you'd have some originality points for sure. I really like the ralliart wagon and i'd like to see somebody make something nice out of it.

Evo. If I wasn't upside down in my Ralliart, I'd already have an Evo.

Sadly, I can't bring myself to roll over thousands of $$ into a new loan considering how briefly I've owned the Ralliart, and Mitsu hasn't made me a sweet ehough deal... yet.

Watch out tho. The fairly low cost of owning and maintaining your car will be a thing of the past... every little thing on the Evo costs big $$! Premium gas and fluids, higher insurance and maintenance costs... teh works. But damn is it a fun ride.

Get the EVO it is better than a fully modded sportback will ever be. Start out ahead of the sportback and you won't look back.

Must be nice to have the money to do it

i had an oz and went in a couple weeks ago for a ralliart. i've driven my friends ralliart for literally days at a time, so i know what its capable of as well. i walked out with an evo. is it expensive? absolutely. but it performs from day one like you wouldn't believe.

How long is your new commute going to be? If it's a longer one, I'd stick with the Ralliart. It's less tempermental when it comes to maintenence, and I think it's a crime to put a ****load of miles on an Evo.

Actually owning both an RA and the EVO the RA might net 1-2 more mpg and takes regular which may save you $1-$2 at each fill up...big deal. Gas prices and premium should not be your main factor in buying an EVO in the first place.

Otter,
All of our cars are meant to be driven...who cares about racking miles up on an EVO.

evilralliart,
If you want 450whp you better be prepared to spend $5-8grand on top of your new car payment. Sure it is easy to get power out of the EVO although 300whp like I have in my EVO is not too bad too live with every day. Sure you think about more although it gets to a point as to when enough is enough. 300whp in an EVO is good for mid 12 second runs with a good driver. For a daily driver you can have more, but not without sacrificing other great traits of the EVO.

Save the money and get a house.

If you have a house/condo already, get an Evo. Better resale value and no matter what you do to an RA, an evo will always be faster.
