Question about Park Lights
Question about Park Lights
Wondering if anyone knows how I could get the park lights to stay on when the engine is off. I just put some blue led's I had kicking around in there and it looks great at night, but it would be sweet to have them on all the time when the car is off. They shouldn't drain the battery much (after all they are just 2 small Led's). Also I am wondering how you get the headlight housing opened up so I can take that ugly amber plastic circle out and put some blue lights in there also. Thanks in advance for any info!!
if you search it there's a link for a DIY headlight mod for lancers but it should be the same for us RA's... as far as the LED's you could hardwire it to your battery without a switch and just leave them running but if you're at a store they'll call your plates up to say "your lights are on" heh... personally i don't like to attract unwanted attention to my car... good luck with that, hopefully you'll get it working.
yah you could try running a switch instead of hardwire. Just splice the wire from where ever it goes right now and run it to a switch and put it next to ur fog light button or something. I don't see the point of a hardwire because i don't think you'd want them running 24/7.

I rarely ever turn my headlight switch to the off position. I keep them on all the time and basically use them as a daytime run light, since they automatically shut off when the door opens.
