Cool The return of the sportback!!

My local mitusbishi dealership called me today and let me know the sportback is to be brought back to the US and Canada for next year. I'm gonna drop by to talk to them next week to get any juicy details. I apologize if someone else already posted this.

This is good news as apparently mitsu are getting alot of feedback for people looking for these. My yellow sportback alone in Winnipeg is apparently getting noticed and having numerous people every weeek to drop by the mitsu dealer looking for one.

Now if only I could get the local kids to stop vandalizing it... ya, they keyed it and slashed my tires recently in response to them being charged with their window smashing vandalization from a few months back. sigh :-(

That's good news! And one would have to assume that if they bring it back, they won't have a choice but to have the option for a manual tranny this time... or they'll get flamed by the automotive journalists one more time. Anyway, I think they now have a better idea of why it didn't sell... hell, even I was gonna buy one until I learned it only came with an A/T!!!

Anyway, interesting info. It remains to be seen if these guys can be trusted though... Last year the salesmen at the local dealer would have swore to you that the EVO was gonna be in their showroom no later than at this very moment (they said "it's gonna come to Canada as an '06 model"). Did you see any EVO when you went for your last oil change??? I sure didn't...

Well, they used to only come in autos. If they're really coming back then maybe, just maybe, Mitsu will realize there is a market for wagons with manuals and give us the real deal

I would have liked a sportback if it had a stick. Wagons kick ***. I didn't need one since my wife has one and I wanted a little bit better pickup then a mazda 3 or a matrix XRS. I also wanted to pay less then both of those cars cost.
