The WORKS line is what will make it stiff. The RRM won't, it will just make the clutch catch and release quicker.

LoL..Nah, it did it in my old ES so I thought it was just something it did.
If I told them about it they wouldn't beable to figure it out cause it barely happens. Maybe with that and the speaker rattle I could get it on the lemon law!

Yeah bigdoggy is right though... the RRM line replaces the second half of the line, the one that's already made out of solid tubing and had the restrictor in it. The WORKS line replaces the rubber part that goes to the firewall. This should make the clutch feel a bit tighter... and so you'd get a better feel.

I love the clutch it soft compared to my 79 CJ7 jeep that's the one that will kick your ***. The gears though I do find rather werid I have trouble with shifting down sometimes like with the clutch on the floor and going to 3rd it will like grind with the clutch on the floor which is werid to me. i don't know maybe it's just me.

I have RRM line, Kartboy bushings (both base and linkage), and Works 15% throw + shift knob. I changed them all together, and love it!!!

The throws are shorter than stock, but not dramatically. There is absolutely NO play during shifting. Everything is very precise and "notchy" which I like. Some may not like this feel, it's very mechanical, but very sporty!

You have to keep in mind that the car is designed this way. The car is meant to provide you as much feedback as possible. A civic on the other hand is not. Nor is a Saab....
I don't find the clutch stiff at all (in comparison to a 911, at least) but the shifter is, what i'd call, "notchy". It is precise though, the shifter flows pretty nicely, but yeah, it's stiff when you hit the gear. Having a sloppy or really smooth shifter in a sporty car like the RA is like having soft suspension on a car like the RA, it doesn't feel right. Soft suspension and smooth shifters feel more refined, but feel weird when you drive hard.
But i've only driven about 4 different manual cars, an older Nissan with a REALLY sloppy shifter, the 911 with a much less stiff shifter (than the RA), but much stiffer clutch and some old VW with an even worse shifter than the Nissan (the VW had to have bad bushings, I couldn't even tell which gear I was in.)

Not to change the subject, but does anyone else's shifter squeak when going into second gear? I don't know if there is a grease fitting or anything else down there, but knowing what to lubricate would be nice. Thanks. Joe.

I will be installing the works stage 2 later this week. I'll let you guys know what a stiff clutch is like
Sobe,
You say thye friction point is too high?? you can adjust this really easily. MY friction point was so high I could barely take off cause my clutch is pretty worn out. I adjusted the bolt on the pedal that pushes into the master cilynder. My friction point is right on the floor now. this will take you 5 minutes.

I have noticed thought, the shifter popping when I shift out of first, like there is too much tension in the spring or something.

I didn't really get a chance to feel the shifting with the stock bushings because I changed them out almost as soon as I got the car but they probibly didn't change the stiffness, just the precesion of the shifts because the will not move at all. Not a bad and cheap mod either.

I wouldm't mind a fix to that pop from first.

Did anyone install the B&M short shifter, or any short shifter for that matter, in the RA. The throw doesn't seem that much smaller so I'm debating on selling mine.
Worst case scenario is a bad detent ball in the transmission (if I remember, it just puts pressure on the dog ring to hold it to the collar). Or more likely it's a linkage problem.
