HEY MISTER "!!!!!!!!!! MARKS" as I explained earlier in the thread it said I had the changer in the car history report AND a bunch of stuff was stolen out of my car, so its not impossible that this was in there.

Say I don't, back to the original topic, could I swap head units?

If you have the cubby insert, you didn't. If it's gone, probably.

Yes it does, in Canada. It (CD changer) comes as part of one package with your sunroof, sound and side airbags. I have an 05 and I didn't want the side airbags or the cd changer but had no option bacause all 05s with sun and sound in Canada come with cd changer and side airbags.

And here's the CD changer and where it's located http://www.mitsubishicars.ca/images/...iscchanger.jpg
Best way to tell if you had a CD changer is to see if you could fit something the size of the cd changer in the cubby, cause if not the you just have a little storage pocket there.

Well, here in the US, we get no changer. Upon checking that link, I was gonna say we pay less too, but I forgot about the exchange rate being different.

And I don't think you can just use a new HU with the OEM Infinity amp/sub/speakers, but IIRC there is some kind of adaptor.

The Factory Cd changer is So expensive! I got a 12 CD changer that can play MP3s that plays through the stock head unit radio. The cost was about 1/2 of the factory unit price!!!

Head units don't get much less flashy than ours. Honestly, whoever stole yours must not really know what he's doing.

Ah, I see.

Well, unless they have the wiring harness that goes specifially to that amp, they're still screwed.

bump, somebody on this board has to have SOME info on replacing a cd player NOT with the changer.

Does it just require reharnessing the adapter for whatever HU I buy? I figure the HU is powered by the car, and the amp powers the speakers, so I should just be able to reharness the HU wires right?
