Finally got my Ralliart

It only took me a year and a half of trolling but I finally took the plunge and got a 2005 White Ralliart.

Now I don't feel like such a dork for spending an hour a day going through this forum.

Nice, white is a great color on the Ralliart for sure, and the Evo wing looks killer too. Congrats!

Congrats!

Everytime I see white, I wish I got it instead of black...

He guys,

The dealer installed the wing...it came to $899 for paint and install @ Markham Mitsubishi.

To be 100% honest, I don't know if the blade was the faux CF blade or not. When I got it it was just painted right over.

At first it surprised me but then I figured why pretend it's a real Evo8 wing, you know?

I also got the UR SRT and Catback installed. The exhaust note caught me off guard at first.

Arithmetic: I think the black is a really nice colour too...my original choice was grey but the dealer couldn't find one. They actually brought mine in from the KW dealership.

It was $1295 for the SRI and the Catback with installation.

I found out they actually send the car to UR and they have to do a custom fabrication for the intake. Not the cheapest install for sure but at least it's covered by the warranty.

I actually called UR and they said that I couldn't buy the combo...and that I had to go to their installation partner which happened to be Markham Mitsu.

In terms of tone, it's very deep...not a tin can like a Civic with a bad axleback. Although, the idle tone when cruising on the highway is pretty loud...it's definitely not for everybody.

Hey congratulations on your new Ralliart man. It looks good. I prefer the blade part to stay grey, but what the hell. You have a point about the EVO VIII part.

hum , can i say you got ripped off .... never buy aftermarket at the dealer !!!!! .... Injen CAI is 250 Canadian , rrm axleback is 300 us .... and they are super easy to install yourself !!!! plus my evo VIII spoiler replica costed me 400 canadian and i installed it...... so yeah not more than 1100 Canadian $ for all these when you paid 2200 canadian $ ... plus the catback will make you lose some torque , no need for it unless u go FI.....

Wax: I agree...it is pretty pricey. Labour is a ***** but there are two major issues.

1. I can't paint so I can't do a colour match on the wing. Also, I didn't want to drill any new holes seeing as I don't have any equipment. So, having an off-colour, badly installed wing wasn't something I was aiming for.

2. The SRI is a custom fabrication and the exhaust includes a full 2.5" mid-pipe. I'm can't build the SRI at home and I don't have a lift so I can't get underneath the hood. As well, I don't want to pretend I'm a mechanic so I tend to lay off hard engine mods for fear of my newbieness causing harm to an engine I don't understand.

That being said, it wasn't cheap but not out of the norm given the evil evil cost of labour these days.

Hopefully, I'll gain enough knowledg to do my future mods myself.
