Auto Tilting Wing

What would you guy's think if i made the center part of my Evo 7 wing, tilt down about 10 deg. automcatically when you hit 80km/h,to give the car more downforce, it would be connected to a electrical motor and tapped into a system that reads a signal from the speedo. I have been thinking about this for while now, i think it could work very well infact. I havew most of the stuff needed to do this, i'll let you guy's know how it goes.

I think it should be in control of the driver and not the speedo. I think there should be like a switch like they have in the VR4s. Great idea though!!

yeah i was thinking of that as well, might be alot simpler to have a switch in the dash to tilt it on demand, i think the speedo thing my be a little more difficult to do

Damn that's an awesome idea. I would say go with the driver-controlled one... we have an extra small rectangular panel to the left of the guage dimmer (left of steering wheel). My friend just put a switch in that same panel on his STi and he uses it in place of the intercooler-spray button (when the flip-switch is on, the gas pedal being floored triggers it). I think this project will be time-consuming, but probably worth while. Keep us updated!

All we need now is to find a way how we can install all the gagets and missles in the RA like James Bonds had in his ride!

It sounds like a cool gadget but how will you know if it's actually doing anything... do you have a wind tunnel... if you do that's awesome... j/k... I think that would be pretty cool if you could do it without being able to see any of the mechanisms...

If you need some help as you are working on this let us know. We have been in the process of creating one for the mass market for several months.
Good luck, it is a very fun project
