SPECS on Alternator

Hey,
I'm looking but cannot find the specs on the RA's alternator. I'm adding 4 hella driving lights and need to know if the output of the alternator is suffucient. I know we have an upgraded alternator over the other lancers (evo exluded) What is the AMP rating etc.

thanks

Eric

it doesnt say in the shop book... it only tells how to test it and change it... Best bet would be to get a digital multi-meter and check it out.

The stock alternator should be able to handle 4 of those IMHO.

yeah it should handle the 4, but I'm thinking of more..maybe 6 in total....a better battery might be an option also. I should test the 4 I'm going to install first before making a big deal. I'll let it be known how these lights perform. 2 hella 500 (fog pattern) 2 hella ff1000 (driving beam pattern)

Eh, please tell me you arent gonna do the 4 big fog lights in the front And I just saw in another post that you have mud flaps, hopefully they arent those big red ones. You have such a sweet car, I dont want you to ruin it by putting lights all over the front end of it.

He uses the car for rally, so he needs the lights.

I'm pretty sure our alternator output is 110.

You're making things up again All the Ralliarts do have a higher-output alternator than the base models, though. I think they're only 90.

I built a light bar for the lights it comes on and off and you cannot tell. The mud flaps are for rally and winter. They are black and don't look too obtrusive. I'll be posting some pics in the general section. take a look

as for alternator it is 110 and it will handle about 6 or so 55w lights. I'm not too worried. I won't be blasting the bass on a rally anyways...navigator does not like to yell I'm sure.
