Temp control prpblem?

My only "driving without heat" story is from my first car. The water pump died when I was about 100 miles from home, in the middle of winter. Most of the coolant leaked out through the bushing, and the cooling system wouldn't hold pressure. I tried keeping a couple jugs of coolant/antifreeze in the car, but that didn't get me anywhere before it all leaked out.

So I had to drive a few miles, pull over, throw LOTS of snow on the engine to cool it off, drive another few miles...

Maybe that was the reason I started not liking Fords.

what if the controller isnt stuck but when I put it all the way to hot it shoots back to about 3/4's and you cant hear the blend door move its only cold unless it sits there idling for some hot comes out.

do any of u guys know where u can get a replacement? my brother broke my cold/heat knob.

I would say that a junkyard would be your best/cheapest bet.
Iirc any lancer knob would do...
