ok guys, i know i can get 15s but also the conditions here are a whole lot different than the states. everyone that has come to this island from the states has ran at least .5 sec slower. so even tho that spec v has a faster run in it, it's not going to be much faster. there has been many spec v's that have run at that track and only one of them has gotten a 15sec pass. and he had many bolt ons. my friend in his 300zxtt was running 12.5's back in kansas and when he got here he couldn't do better than a 13.0 until he added more upgrades. so I know that 16 sec quarter mile does suck but in reality, that would have been like a 15.5 sec pass in the states. the conditions here are horrible. AND back in the states, they prep the track with VHT, here they don't. so the launch pad was just concrete. so my 2.4 60ft. was pretty impressive to be launching on an unprepped track. the only people that get traction on that track are people with slicks. anything else is spinning. notice i wheel hopped, not spun. so i did pretty damn good launching it. i promise i'll go back and get a 15sec run. and if i do it'll equate to like a low 15sec run in the states. but thanks for all the comments.
by the way, that spec v driver does know how to drive pretty good. there is a tc that he raced with cai, header and full exhaust. TC's put down over 150whp with those mods. which is more than us. that spec v can beat that tc. i spank that tc and i spanked that spec v. so maybe just maybe i got a factory freak. i dunno, but i haven't raced a car in our class and lost yet. i also raced a b16a swapped civic and spanked him too. all of these races was on that crappy track. but anyways, that's my comeback.

I would say that this is a completly equal line up. Both cars are known to run low 15's given ideal conditions. Yes I know the spec-v should do the 1/4 .1 to .2 faster but its a drivers race. We also have two drivers of an equal skill level. Everything was fair. The better driver won that day which is the whole point of racing.
My question for those of you who are running a 2.2 or lower 60; what RPM do you luanch at?

well i know i didn't cut the best 60ft. but i was launching at 3000rpm and getting hardly any wheel spin but lots of wheel hop as i approached 5000rpms. once again, i cut a 2.4 60ft. on an unprepped track. so i would imagine a 2.2 or below on a prepped track.
On friday I put down a 2.38 60. I luanched at 3000 RPMs and I got a lot of wheel spin. I'm on stock tires that are worn down quite a bit. As far as track prep, I have no idea how good it is here. I was racing at Orlando Speedworld. I don't know if any of you are fimiliar with the track? But I'm also wondering what I can do to improve my 60 ft time.
Wait a minute...LRH are you the guy that was there a few weeks ago that was talking to us about your Ralliart? You moved from the West Coast right? I thought you weren't gonna race that thing

He was 15.543 @ 87.22mph so you are not far off. He had just serviced his car too with new oil and air filter.
Let me give back this thread to it's originator but PM me next time you are rolling to the track. As soon as I break in my new clutch and motor mounts I am going back to see if they have helped.
