Cracking sound in front right tire

I was driving back from the gym when I noticed that my front right tire made a popping noise everytime time I would go over a bump or a dip. It cracks or pops more when there is a passenger with me than when I'm with myself obviously more weight, but do you guys have any idea what it might be? by the way it's on stock suspension(stock springs) i'm taking it to the stealership tomorrow to have it checked out.

I had a noise in the front driver's side suspension assembly... a squeeking sound... it was a collapsed coil spring. There was a bad batch from Mitsubishi's supplier, so ask them to check for that...

I've got that on the front left side. I was planning to check it out this weekend. Anyone has theirs checked out and finds the problem, please let us all know. If I find anything, I'll post up.

ME too!!! Front right - especially when turning almost full lock, turning while going over a curb, bump etc. And I thought it was just me. I've only had my Ralliart around 2 months (got it new) and I first noticed that after a few days - sort of a popping/something catching on plastic noise and when I took it to the dealership they couldn't find anything wrong - they drove it a couple hours and didnt hear or feel it - it doesn't always happen... its a wierd one.

I've had the same problem on left side for 3 months now. I had the front end apart when I lowered my ride. Noise was still there after. Checked all front end components. Couldn't find anything.

Same here, I've always assumed it was the clock spring behind the steering wheel, since I never noticed it ever until after I installed my Evo wheel, and only a couple times since then.

That's pretty much what I'm expecting to find. As long as I don't find anything wrong, I guess I won't worry about the LF wheel coming off, then.

If it is just squeaking then it's probably nothing to worry about, I think i've figured out why my car squeaks in numerous points on the car. In the summer all my squeaking was gone now that we have hit november (rainy season) I've got squeaking bushings everytime I go over speed bumps or long dips. My clutch pedal has also started squeaking again (which no amount of WD40 will fix)

The bushings on this car are it's biggest downfall I think they designed the car to only run in hot dry climates like a desert

This is just my opinion it may not be right

Yeah, I've got the squeaking coming from the right rear suspension. I think you're right about the cold weather, that's when it started last year, too. I had the rear control arms replaced, and it went away. Now it's getting cold again, and the squeaking is back.

BUT, the noise I get from the front is not a squeak. I'm getting a knocking sound when I give it gas then let up with the clutch engaged. Happens quite often in Chicago tollway traffic jams.

I'm going to look at the hub, ball joint, control arm bushings, front swaybar endlinks, axle, and anything else I can think of while I'm in there.
