Warranty Recall

Ok guys i need some help here. I recieved a notification from Mitsu about a recall for my car. The recall is for something in the ECU i dont know, it says something about the speed sensor and th ecu not reading the signal correctly

Anyway, went to my dealer and thy reprogramed the ECU. I thought that at least i could get better fuel economy but my car is now acting weird. My last tank gave me only 17 mpg and when i turn off the car the fans stay on for some time and then turn off... then turn on again... then off... the on and quickly off. I have an app with the dealer next week but would like to know if anybody know something.

Strange, I had the recall done and nothing happened like that. Maybe they screwed it up

Yeah my buddy and I also had the recall done, but haven't noticed anything different about the car. I would definetly have the dealer check it out.

RALLIART2U I belive the recall is only for the 05 lancers. But you can call you local dealer and they can find out if your car has a recall for it too.

You need to bring this up with the dealership. They screwed it up, so they need to fix it.

I got my car to the dealership and they fixed the ECU thing... nothing weird happened. The guy said it was for the 2.4L 04 and 05 cars.

My dad said I never even got anything about the recall but my car has to go in for oil soon, so I'm sure I'll find out then.

i just took my car to the dealership for a recall but I got a notice in the mail about an emission recall not a sensor recall, when I got there they tought it was for the speed sensor but then they said it wasn't for my car so they fixed the emissions problem, by the way I drive an 05' ralliart

I just got back from the dealer, I got the letter for the emissions recall and while I was there they did the speed sensor one too. No difference in how the car runs. I'll be watching my next tank of gas real close for any change in milage tho.

You should not have any prob. what they did to my car was plug something in the OBD II plug and "reprogramed" the ECU.

BTW the letter i recieved said that the problem with the speed sensor could cause emission problems and the car would fail the emissions test.

I doubt they will notice the pulley either
