If I remember correctly, this is for 05 Lancers and NOT for 04 Lancer RA's. When in doubt ask though! Didn't this come up earlier this year around July? As far as any parts on your car go that shouldn't be there... It's up to you to take the gamble. If they DO see it, you'll have some 'splaining to do! Good luck though if you go for it!!!

I asked my Mitsu service advisor the other day if I had recall work pending. They ran the VIN and said no. I have a 2004.

OK i know it is a little late to ask this, but my app with the waranty is tomorow morning and i forgot to ask, whe n you turn your car off the fans turn off immediatly or they stay on for a little longer???

Edit: Ok just came back from the dealer and Mitsu say's the fan thing is normal, even though the service rep could not explain me why it never did it before the recall. He showed me a memo recieved from MMC saying it was normal. He told me that they had change a couple of fan relays (lyke 20) the last 2 weeks and MMC did not pay back for the labor. So apparently it is normal. On other note the other proble i was having (fuel economy) y was told to come back in 2 weeks to check both the MAS and TPS. I need to know if any of you guys have your avg fuel consumption or haow many moles you run with one full tank.

My avg was 20 mpg (200 miles per tank) before the recall and 17 mpg (170-180 milas per tank) after the recall.

I just had both the speed sensor and emissions recall done and it hasn't changed anything that I can detect. My first tank of gas (car is at about 5000 miles) got me about 21 MPG, and my second about 27 (more freeway driving) so I figure that's about right. I'm still watching closely for any behavior problems.

That average is way low. Highest I've done is in my sig. During the warm months, I consistently hit 29mpg on mostly highway. Now that winter's here, I'm at around 25mpg.

I got 31.5 miles per gallon a month or so ago, but it took an effort on my part to stay below 3500 rpm on the highway to do it.

If I drive with the flow of traffic, I'll get 27-28 mpg. Sometimes 29.

Recall on '05 ralliart, they said the recall was only on speed sensor, not emissions...So they fixed that and car just seems to idle lower, thats about it.

Yes but the letter say that the speed sensor is sending a wrong signal to the ECU and THAT can couse your car to fail emission test!!
