Winter Problems In the RA?

Seems like Every winter we see many EVO's fall to the snow and/or weather. How does the RA handle the elements? ( I am not thinking about getting an RA just am Curious)

Has anyone here found the RA to be a PITA in the Rain, Snow, weather?

I didn't have any problems last winter with the stock tires, and expect to have none again this winter with new snow tires.

There's a few threads on this already, but the general agreement is that our car is just fine on snow tires. Stock tires aren't good on snow. We could benefit from a LSD, but it's not that big of a deal. I get through 12" snow without much trouble.

The stock tires are a PITA, but the RA is manageable in the snow. Experience and MT helps.

I've been to Guam. I'd rather have the snow.

Stock tires aren't as bad as I thought..they held up rather well in 2 small snow storms. Much better than an ES in the snow

I have the goodyears. They suck in the snow. Fortunately for me I grew up in Colorado driving a RWD Ford Ranger (POS) so I learned to handle winter driving. Best way to fix the problem if you live in a smowy area is to just do what I did. Move to Florida. But just so you know, its not all fun and games here. If I don't apply sun block when I go to the beach I could get a sun burn (LOL).

How much better are a different all season tire than the goodyears, I've gotten so many mixed reviews about the kumho I don't know if they would be worth getting

Its the Kumho Asx or the Pirelli PZero Nero M&S because snow is off the roads one day later and its rare to see 6+ inches.

Don't rely on the Pirelli being stamped M+S... this badging is not supported by any kind of normalization program. You won't go through any kind of snow alive on those. Either get good all-season tires for the winter and go back to high-perf. rubber for the summer months (a thing you guys have more of than us)...

I don't know how the Kuhmos would handle the snow... but just don't rely on the M+S rating to tell you... the thing is a joke really.

My car was lowered and had the POS stock rubber last year and had ZERO problems....in fact, I even had the back end step out one time going around a corner and was able to correct it very easily...and that was WITH 4 people in the car.

The little bit of snow we had last week was no match for the RA and my new winters.

What kind of problems are the Evo's having?
