You can also try to lower the preasure in your front tires. That will help yor tires find some grip

Keep practicing the launch.....you will get it in time.
Are you completely stock or do you have some mods?

I'm all stock. Friday before I went to the track I put new tires on (BFGoodrich G-force sport).
I had them at 25 psi at the track.

Well lrh35, sorry I couldnt make it. I had some company come in town, including a girl that I was trying to put the moves on.

Nonetheless, from the last time you saw me at the track, my 60 foot times were 2.222 and 2.231 respectively. This was from launching at 2500 RPMs and 3000 RPMs respectively. I think about 3K is pretty good for launching but I had a little bit of wheel hop so that is why my 60 foot was a bit slower. I was convinced I was goign to run a better time than before but I missed 3rd gear pretty bad, and despite that, my time was only less than 0.2 seconds higher and my mph was 0.10 mph slower.

Hopefully, next time, most preferably on a Wednesday, I can come out and see what these cooler temperatures will do to my RA.

EDIT: This is all on the stock BF Goodrich or Goodyear or whatever these crappy tyres are.

wow, 2.2 60ft.!!! i'm assuming that's on a prepped track. i wish that they prepped the track here on guam. the best i've done is a 2.4 60ft. and that's launching at the same rpm as you.

IMO this is one of the worst tracks I have seen. It gets lots of hype but when I compare it to the track at Bradenton, it seems that there is much better traction off the line there, than this one here in Orlando. I dunno, that is what it seems to me.

Did you drop it or ease it out?? Before when I was dropping it on the street practicing, it would be crazy tyre spin. Easing it out (well not really easing but not dropping) works best, I think. Wadadlig and I were laughing because these were the first two times I had ever raced at the track in my life.

holy crap, a naturally born driver!!! yea, i don't drop it. that would result in the world's crappiest 60ft. i do a quick slip and i get no spin but i do get little wheel hop around 5000 rpms.
