Transmission Flush :: Success!

Probably should have done it a long time ago, since Mitsu is not known for their automatic trannies, and because my shifts were getting a little rough....but I had my transmission flushed (@ 55,000 miles) last week, and WOW, what a difference. The shifts have completely returned to silky smooth like when I first got the car (they weren't that bad prior to the flush, but could be a little rough at times). So, just to anyone who is questioning whether they should do the flush or not, I fully recommend it to anyone with an auto tranny!

Well, that answers my question. I was wondering if anyone still had more miles than I do. I'm at just under 53k now.

Damn...I can't be the one with the most miles! Looks that way, though....although I thought there was someone who had already passed 60.

Anyways, I took it to the dealership...it was $119 for the flush/refill and their 'conditioner' they put through....I thought it was a decent deal for the area, plus I'm hung up on having service done only at the dealer, just to make sure factory parts go back in. Car drives like new at 55K, the only things I've noticed is a few squeaks here and there, some suspension noise when it's cold (although it's probably the bushings like everyone else has experienced), and of course, the shifts were getting a tad rough, but now that's been alleviated.
