my gas mileage has gone up lately, I'm not sure why though. Maybe because I quit datalogging all the time so I'm not constantly WOT

 

did you put that turbo in yet? if so maybe thats why? hehe. i know my gas guage is messed up and when you hit half tank it drops lol.

 

yeah i get bad ltr/km, always in mivec and wot.
anyways had a search but couldnt find any, but has anyone ever had a valve hit a piston, coz people say at higher RPM/near redline is where it happens most, so has anyone had it happen, why did it happen?(just dumb luck or from missed tooth on timing belt or something!??!

 

It's because the sensor isn't exactly half the tank I know mine hits half then it's gone in no time

 

i mean like ill idle and watch it drop like crazy... like today it hit half or so and i drove maybe 20 miles and it was on e with the light on. but i can still drive WAAAAAAY past the e. then my check engine light comes on. so i put like 12 bucks in gas then reset the battery and its back to full and no engine light...

 

Coming up on the mid-70's here. Now that it's warm out and we're back on "summer" gas, I've been getting around 30mpg. A couple times I've tried to get the max MPG, but I have never been able to get over 31.8 mpg. Still, engine runs great. Suspension makes plenty of annoying noises and the car has rattles, but the engine is great.

 

210 miles on a half tank thats incredible... im lucky if im at 140 miles at a half tank im usually gettin 60-75 miles per quarter, have you had any work done to make it so good? anywho back on track im at 17800 miles driving from san diego to virginia doesnt help but none the less not a single problem other than shes dirty and my normal car wash recently stopped accepting me cause my "Aftermarket exhaust" is too low and runs a risk of ..... i dont know ive only been through it like 50 times...

 

i just hit 60,089k on my black 2004 RA, no problems!

 

16k on mine with a some spraying in there too , she runs great .....

 

gonna hit 84 000km soon and running stong as always. my gas mileage seems terrible, but my last car was a suzuki swift GTi, so 40mpg was very regular if i didnt drive the bag off it all the time. and almost the same size tank in my swift as in the RA...i miss my swift. lol.

I think you missed the part where this subforum was about the Ralliart, not the Evo. I'm sure Evo General has similar threads about mileage and engine issues.

 

 

Yeah, I got a chuckle out of that too.

Just hit 69,000 miles this morning and the car is running good. I'm probably averaging about 26mpg due to my usual spirited driving. I drive about 65 miles a day and usually have to fill up after 4 days of driving.
