puttin on the axelback

so i got my axelback exhaust from rrm and i was wondering if you guys could tell me the best thing to do to get the old rusty bolts off, do you think some wd-40 will do the trick?

If that doesn't work, heat them up with a torch. Try propane at first, then MAPP gas or even oxy/acetylene if that doesn't work.

I haven't looked at mine, are they regular bolts, or studs built into one of the pipes? If they're just bolts, you could just cut them off and get new bolts.

heat them up and give it a tap from a hammer.. should break it loose then you can spray some lube and take it off

Get a can of PB's amazing rust blaster. Spray it on the bolts and let it sit for 5 minutes, get a long wrench or a breaker bar and they will come right off. You can get this stuff at any auto parts store or menard's. It really works.

So yea, i jacked the car up, used the rust spray, and tried and tried and tried but the bolts wont budge. I even stripped the one freakin bolt and it didnt move AT ALL!!! im so pissed, now i gotta take it to pep boys and blow more money that i want to save for my downpipe.

Do it the old school way, COKE (COCA-COLA ) put some COKE on the bolts , yes the drinking soda and let it set for 10 minutes .
