intermitant windsheild wipers

what's up everybody. it's been a long time since i've been on here, but i wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. i'm sure someone has...maybe i'm just not that observant, but last night i noticed that...

having the wipers set to the top intermitant setting at a stop holds the wipers down for a second or two, then releases them again. but as you go above 25 mph, they go constantly (there's no delay between cycles). then as you slow down to below 10 mph they delay again. i thought this was freakin' awesome...never noticed it before.

Read your owner's manual. We have speed sensitive wipers.

yeah, they're speed sensetive, no matter what intermittent setting it's on. you probably just noticed the change on the high setting. what'd be cool is if they sensed the rain and started on their own.

That goes on my list of things that would annoy the sh*t out of me, along with the door locks that lock you in as soon as you exceed 3mph.

I'm with you on both of those.

I noticed this while learning to drive my car about 3 hours after buying it... it kinda added to the coolness of having a new car... again, it seems like more of a luxury car feature but I've made good use out of it. In hindsight, that probably wasn't the best idea to be driving in the rain my first time in a stick.

If they really annoy you look in section 54B of the manual under SWS configuration. There is a way to disable the speed sensing part function along with settings for all of the other sws modules
