I'm in the UK and I've got money to burn lol!

I'm currently installing Cerious' Shaven trunk and Accolade's Evo 9 rear bumper so I'll have pics for you soon.

Anyhow - I am determined to buy a set of Recaro Sportline seats in leather.

Does anyone know if the Evo 8 brackets will mount to our cars? Do the 04+ lancers have the same mounting points for seat brackets as the Evo 8? As the place I'm buying them from can supply only Evo 8 brackets/sliders as none are made for Lancers.

Secondly - I HAVE seen a photo of an Australian 04+ lancer with Brembo Gran Turismo front brake kit on somewhere - Anyone know where I can get this from?

well the only thing i knew cause a friend of mine has it in his, is that the evo 8 front seats mount perfectly in the ra, but the back seats don't mount right.

yo can put the front evo 8 seats.. as far as the brembo kit.. havent heard they made one for us.. but i do know that rotora makes them... you need to send them an email...

thst brake kit was probably on a Ralliart and was adapted to fit from another similar application, Evo or Eclipse, since they are the same bolt pattern

 

It's important to note that if you have a RA with sound and sport, going with the Evo Recaros means you lose the side impact airbags since they are mounted in the seat. There's no way around this, Recaro does not make a seat with side-impact airbags built in. I don't think any racing seat manufctuer does.

Yeah I am prepared to lose the side airbags, as long as it is possible for them to be disconnected.

I am specifically interested in whether the EVO 8 FLOOR brackets mount to the floor of the lancers. As I really want to go for front leather sportline recaros, as my seats have all been wrapped in leather.


As I said - the seller say's he's got Sportline's in leather with EVo 8 brackets/sliders. Question is simple, are the floor mounting points for these brackets the same.

To be honest, because so much of the lancer interior is the same, I wouild guess they do.

He has offered me my money back if they dont so I will probably end up fidning out for myself!

Do the stock Evo 8 seats mount to the ralliart's brackets or is it the Evo 8's brackets on those seats mount to the ralliart's floor?

So is that the Evo 8 brackets fit to our floor mounts? Or the Evo 8 Recaro's fit to our stock Ralliart brackets?

the evo 8 stock recaros with the brackets untouched will bolt righ up to our floor.

That's what I needed to know thanks! That means that I can get some Leather Recaro Sportlines with Evo 8 brackets and they will then bolt right up.

I had a good look at my floor mounts and then studied photos of an Evo 8's mounts and they appeared to be the same.

Now all I have to find out is whether disconnecting the side airbags causes the SRS light to come on!

I'll let you all know how it goes.
