300hp Dohc 4g69 Mivec...
The 4G69 found in Ralliarts,Outlanders and now Calibers is gonna be just like GM Ecotec 2.2 engine...its gonna be under a few hoods....im gonna se if i can find the article about the Calibers been the same platform as Outlanders(thats why they can be AWD) just like the new Raider/Durango/Dakota platforms.
I was trying to avoid this, but it looks like I have no other choice. I must educate.
This engine is not the same engine as the 4G69. The only things the two engines share is size, orientation design (transverse), they have MIVEC cam technology built into them and that's it. They're not the same block, they're not even close. This is an aluminum block, the 4G69 is iron. The intake and exaust manifolds are on opposite sides. This engine was designed to be boosted, the 4G69 never had that intention in mind. The head is different, it's DOHC. If you would have read the other thread, you would have known this. Other people in this thread were trying to tell you this. If you would have done any reading about the engine, you probably could have figured this out. The press-released refrence to this engine by Dodge, Mitsu, and Hyundai is the 'World Engine', which in fact is not a literal translation in any language to '4G69'. Please, for God's sake, stop it.

its becoming very frustrating that dodge is making all these cars with so much power for the same price as ours. come on mitsu like give us a wrx type lancer, or a srt type ralliart or lancer. give us a 23k car like the wrx. i mena subaru has sti and wrx. we have eco then...what, and ralliart?

Base non turbo - FWD no lip kit or wing at 2.0 litres and 165hp (mivec)
Middle model non turbo - FWD with basic lip kit and small wing 2.5 litres and 205 hp
Top end turbo - AWD - full lip kit and wing and VG 3.0 litres and 285hp
The nice thing is that you could buy any one and buld into the top level if you chose to just lit the eclipse RS vs GSX

Have you read anything about the engine? 1000+ hp on their drag car with a stock block..... Now think about how many enigne manufacturers can claim that. Yeah, it's a pretty short list isn't it? Now add MIVEC to it for even more flexibility. The 4g63 stock block which everyone knows is pretty healthy, isn't even capable of those numbers and it's the best block Mitsu has. Now instead of thinking RA w/ 300whp, start thinking EVO XI with 800-1000.... Then think of all the drivetrain parts scattered across the tarmac and crank it down to 600-700 :P
